MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Oakland African-American Chamber of Commerce (OAACC) is to promote commerce and industry for the advancement of economic vitality within the Oakland African- American community.

VISION STATEMENT

It is the vision of the OAACC to be recognized as the voice of African-American business through effective relationships with industry, government, educational and faith-based organizations that can advance the mission of OAACC, which is to promote commerce and industry for the advancement of economic vitality within the Oakland African-American community. It is through these relationships, and subsequent growth, that the African-American community can realize a vibrant quality of life in the City of Oakland.

GOALS

To grow a membership base that can create influence.
To aid new businesses get started, while enhancing those already in business.
To introduce and promote quality programs for its membership and to offer training in leadership and management.
To influence public policy on business issues and initiatives that impact African-American businesses and the community.
To build strategic alliances that strengthen economic vitality in the African-American community.
