Message from the Board of Directors:
Our purpose as the Oakland African American Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is to ensure that we provide the vision and tools for our members to succeed as businesses in our community. Our mission is to advance the economic opportunities of the collective thereby strengthening the African American community. Members of the OAACC not only have access to business development workshops but to the wisdom and tutelage of our board members who, collectively, have over forty years of business experience, many as business owners. Our belief has always been that we can accomplish more together than individually for there is strength in numbers. To that end, members of the OAACC are provided technical assistance opportunities to help grow their companies, create business development opportunities, the advocacy of a united voice to speak on their behalf, as well as building lasting relationships with other local businesses.
