Alameda County Father’s Corp

The Alameda County Fathers Corps (ACFC) is a county-wide team of male service providers working to help strengthen families by helping men be the best fathers they can be. ACFC’s aim is that every father is fully engaged and supportive of their children and that community agencies are fully prepared to help them succeed. 

Community Youth Outreach

Community & Youth Outreach (CYO) helps save lives and develop youth. CYO provides outreach, mentoring, case management, and support to high-risk youth and young adults in Oakland on the front lines to prevent violence and support disadvantaged young people to thrive. 

Mentors in Medicine

MIMS is a nonprofit organization operating in Oakland, California. Our mission is to increase the number of underrepresented health professionals through mentoring, career exposure, and leadership development. 

Lend a Hand Foundation

LAHF is widely known for providing low-income/at-risk students with school supplies and more during the year. The school supply distribution started in 1999 and to date, the organization has provided over 98,000 school supply bags to children and youth. 

Black Cultural Zone

The Black Cultural Zone, conceived in 2014, addresses the disparate impact that decades of disinvestment in East Oakland and more recent displacement of Black People and Black Businesses from their legacy communities here in Oakland by centering Black Arts and Culture within a community development framework. 

East Oakland Collective

The East Oakland Collective (EOC) is a member-based community organizing group invested in serving the communities of deep East Oakland by working towards racial and economic equity.
