OUR STRUCTURE

In 2003, the Oakland African-American Chamber of Commerce was established to represent the socioeconomic interests of local Black-owned businesses.
Our chamber not only promotes the economic development for Oakland’s Black entrepreneurs, but also provides them with the professional and technical training required to scale their business.
OAACC is a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization.

OAKLAND AFRICAN AMERICAN CHAMBER FOUNDATION

In the same year, the Oakland African-American Chamber Foundation (OAACF), a 501(c)(3), was incorporated to identify and procure additional funding for OAACC
programming.
OAACC and the foundation work collaboratively to support local Black-owned businesses and aliate organizations.

OAKLAND AFRICAN AMERICAN CHAMBERPAC

The OAACC Political Action Committee (PAC) is also 501(c)(3), that advances the political interest of our member businesses.
Our PAC works hand-in-hand with the our dynamic ecosystem of civil leaders to advance policies on a local, state, and federal level.
