Our Core Purpose
Core values are fundamental principles that guide Visit Oakland’s actions, decisions, and behaviors. Our core values are:
Visit Oakland is a private, not-for-profit, 501(c)(6) organization, with a 28-member board of directors and full-time staff. Visit Oakland is funded by Measure C (1.5% of the current 14% hotel occupancy tax) and the Oakland Tourism Improvement District (OTID) (2% assessment on nightly rates).
